Osun Monarch, Olukoyi of Ikoyi Kingdom Joins Ancestors

The Olukoyi of Ikoyi land, in Isokan South LCDA, Ikoyi, Osun State, Oba Yisau Bamitale Oyetunji Otunla, Kodaolu 1 has joined his ancestors.

The Traditional ruler transisted after brief illness.

It was gathered that his body would be committed to the mother earth on Thursday 21st of April, 2022 at Olukoyi Palace, Ikoyi-Osun.

The late monarch ruled for thirty five (35) years. He ascended the throne in 1987.

The official announcement was made by Hon (Prince) Wasiu Oyetunji Oyelami, the Isokan South LCDA Chairman.

His post reads
“INNALILLAHI WA INNA ILLEHI ROJUINA. The Glorious Exit of a Patriarch.
HRM Oba Yisau Oyetunji Bamitale Otunla, Kodaolu I,”

“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace and Grant him Aljannah fridaous”. He concluded.
