Oyetola pays last tranche of 25% Severance Gratuity to former LG political office holders

The Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, has approved the payment of last tranche of 25% Severance Gratuity of all former Local Government political functionaries with immediate effect.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke, Banik disclosed this in his office while fielding questions from Journalists.
According to him, Mr Governor in his magnanimity has directed the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, to pay the fourth tranche of 25% of the severance gratuity to all former political office holders in the various local governments and LCDA.
This tranche brings the payment of the severance gratuity to 100%of the amount due to each beneficiary.
Prince Adeleke disclosed further that beneficiaries are the immediate past Councilors, Secretaries to local government, Special Advisers on Youth and Special Advisers on Women Affairs.
He described Mr Governor as a financial wizard who is always thinking on how to manage the meager resources acruing to the State from the Federation Account.
