Rivers State Government Bans EndSARS Protest
The Rivers State Government says it has banned all forms of protests throughout the State.
The government has henceforth prohibited all proposed protests under #EndSars Campaign.
In a release signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Paulinus Nsirim, the Government says it took the decision because the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, had already scrapped the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
The release therefore adds that there is no need for any form of protest against a Unit of the Police Force that no longer exists.
It urges parents and guardians to ensure that their children or wards do not violate the order.
It however directs law enforcement agencies to ensure that the ban is enforced and that violators are brought to book.
