The National Leadership of the PDP had removed Soji Adagunodo and replaced him with Sunday Bisi as the chairman of the party following allegations of high-handedness leveled against him.

Meanwhile the court order secured by Adagunodo also restrained the party from recognising Sunday Bisi as substantive chairman of the party just and also stopped him from parading himself as one.

Adagunodo told journalists that he approached the court having explored all internal mechanism, according to the party’s constitution, to challenge his removal.

He said “I have served the court order to the party at the state level on Wednesday and the national wing on Thursday to formalise my resumption back into office as the party chairman of Osun PDP”.

“I have consulted with the party leaders across board towards holding meetings to address the crisis rocking our party, we must come together as one. I m law abiding and I m not opposed to out of court settlement if the need arises”.

“My focus is on how to wrestle power with the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state in 2022 Governorship election. The primary aim of all party members should be the success of the party in future elections and not avoidable crisis” he stated.

Speaking on the rumour of his purported plan to defect to another party, Adagunodo said he has never considered leaving the PDP even when being persuaded by fiends and allies.
