#ENDSARS: FG Satisfied with Army’s Conducts
The Federal Government has said it is satisfied with the roles played by the Nigerian Army, police and other security agencies during the End SARS protests across the country.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, stated this during a press conference addressed on #ENDSARS in Abuja, the nation’s capital on Thursday.
Mohammed berated killing of six soldiers and 37 policemen during the #EndSARS.
He commended the military, police and other security agencies for the display of high level of professionalism in handling crisis.
According to the minister “soldiers and policemen deserve commendation not condemnation” unless people would say “their lives do not matter”.
Mohammed who insisted no protester died at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos on October 20 said “It is important to say that the Federal Government is very satisfied with the role played by the security agencies, especially the military and the police, all through the End SARS crisis.
“The security agents were professional and measured in their response. Even when their lives were at stake, they exercised uncommon restraint. Their professionalism and measured response saved many lives and properties”.
