Adeleke, Babayemi Emerge Osun PDP Governorship CandidatesPrince Dotun Babayemi and Senator Ademola Adeleke have emerged the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State for the July 16 governorship election.
The parallel primaries were conducted by the two factions being led by Wale Ojo and Sunday Bisi as chairman in different locations in Osogbo, the State capital.
The Sunday Bisi led faction and Adeleke camp held their primary election at Osogbo city stadium, while the Wale Ojo faction and the camp of Dotun used WOCDIF event for the conduct.
Party leaders including Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, a former governor, Erelu Olusola Obada, a former deputy governor, Chief Shuaib Oyedokun, Chief Olu Alabi, Chief Tajudeen Oladipo, among others were all present at Babayemi’s election.
Those in attendance at the Stadium where Adeleke emerged included, Chief Ajeigbe, Prof. Wale Oladipo, Hon. Bunmi Jenyo, Hon. Clement Akanni, Alh. Gani Olaoluwa among others.
At the WOCDIF centre, Babayemi polled 1781 votes while Senator Adeleke polled 1,887 votes at the primary held at the Osogbo city stadium.
