APC is Not a Political Party – Nigerian Governor, Says Nigerians are Tired of Them

The All Progressives Congress has been described as a mere convergence of various interests which teamed up to oust former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the 2015 general election.
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike was speaking on a national television on Friday on the forthcoming Ondo State Governorship Election.

Wike noted that the APC will never operate like a political party because it is a platform that harbours different political parties with different ideologies.
He added that various interests in the APC will always align with different groups they belong to and will never operate as one entity.
The Rivers State Governor who was the chairman for the campaign of People Democratic Party’s candidate in the last Edo Governorship election said Nigerians are tired of the APC and their fake promises.
“Go to anywhere in Rivers State, not a single person will tell you that the PDP has made any promises not fulfilled. It is only the APC that makes fake promises and people are tired of them” Wike said.
“The result is what you see in the outcome of the Edo Governorship election. People have spoken and I can tell you we are going to record the same success in Ondo”
“I know that the APC will use everything within their power to make sure that they win Ondo state governorship election. They know that if they lose Ondo, people will say the party (APC) is finished”.
When asked about the role he paid in the just concluded election and with how much of resources he supported the reelection of Governor Godwin Obaseki, Wike said he could not ascribe the success to himself alone but it was collective.
“How much of resources do you think a sitting Governor would need from anyone that he does not have? We were just there to give moral support and to tell him that he was not alone in the struggle. We were there to give him courage and tell him not to be afraid. I had done it before and I knew he could do it”.
“I must also commend the Governor of Oyo State and the Governor of Delta State, they all contributed to the PDP success in Edo State’.
” I don’t want to say anything about their candidate because I knew the contest was between Adams Oshiomole and the people of Edo, and the people won”.
