Covid-19: Clerics Describe Oyetola as Silent Achiever

Christian Clerics in the state of Osun have described Governor Gboyega Oyetola as a silent achiever whose performance is unprecedented in all sectors of the state economy.
They equally said Oyetola is a perfect gentleman molded with good character and a beacon of hope for this generation in the political space.
The clerics spoke on Sunday in Osogbo when the Special Adviser to the Governor on Civic Engagement, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye led his team to Churches across Osogbo metropolis on Covid-19 public sensitization
In their separate remarks, the minister in charge of Evangelical Church Winning All ( ECWA), Osogbo, Rev’d John Oye Adeniyi and Rev’d Solomon ‘Dele Adeleke of Union Baptist Church Odi-Olowo Osogbo appreciated the government for the steps taken in the containment of Covid-19 since the advent of the pandemic, appealing to the people of the state to comply with all the preventive measures in order to live in a state totally free of pandemic.
They equally eulogized Oyetola’s dynamic leadership which has yielded positive results in all the critical sectors of the state, noting further that the wondrous achievements within his two years in office is heartwarming despite the paucity of funds rocking the state as occasioned by global economic meltdown.
Also speaking, Pastor Isaac Awotanmi, the Area Superintendent of the Apostolic Church Osogbo, and Pastor Joshua Olujimi of the Redeemed Church of God Breakthrough Cathedral, Osun Province 1 appreciated the state government for taking proactive steps in the fight against Covid-19 resurgence, stressing that strict adherence to civil authorities remains one the cardinal focus of Christian’s teachings, while they promised that the message of safety measures to curb the spread of the second wave of coronavirus will form part of the sermon to the congregants.
In his remarks, the Governor of the state, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola who was represented by his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye expressed satisfaction over the level of compliance with Covid-19 protocols in the Churches visited, he further charged the church not to relent interceding for the whole world till we get ride of the pandemic.
“The level of compliance with Covid-19 guidelines we met at the churches so far is highly impressive and this has shown that the revered men of God and the congregations are already complementing the efforts of the government in the containment of the pandemic. You are then encouraged to sustain the compliance level for the general wellbeing of the people.
“Noticing with deep concern that the pandemic continues to amplify human suffering, as people of faith, it’s time to support our efforts with prayer to curb the outbreak of the pandemic”, he added.
