CYMS Honours DIG Danmallam with Award of Excellence

The Committee of youth on mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) on Tuesday presented award of excellent performance to the Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Muhammed Danmalam.

DIG Danmallam was decorated at the Force Headquarters, Abuja in recognition of his immense contributions to the security architecture of the country.

The CYMS’s Director General Comrade Obinna Nwaka led the National officers of the organisation to the Force Headquarters for the award presentation.

He said the award was imperative to honour the DIG having observed his selfless and excellent performance over the years as commissioner of police and his recent position as the DIG in-charge of Department of Training and Development which, has in no less measure facilitated “the peace and tranquillity we are enjoying as a nation”.

Nwaka described DIG Danmallam as a detribalized Nigerian, youth friendly officer, intelligent and enthusiastic individual full of vigour who always respond to national service at any point in time.

He encouraged him not to be deterred from “his good works especially at this critical time where Nigeria is facing security challenges”.

While receiving the award, DIG Danmallam appreciated the youth organization for the recognition done on him, saying as an officer who is vested with the responsibility of ensuring security of lives and property, he would continue to do his best to ensure that peace was fully restored to the Country.

The Katsina born DIG who was also decorated as the Friend of the Youth by Mr Obinna Nwaka and his colleague the CYMS’s Director, Socials and Empowerment King Tonto Dikeh charged Nigerian youths to eschew violence and embrace peace so that development could thrive for the benefits of all.

Other delegation present were the Secretary General, Yerima Aminu Isa Ahmadu, Director, Contacts & Mobilization, Mr Kelechi Ugwumba,, and Director Media, Mr Otobong Gabriel.

Others were Director Finance, Hajia Aisha Baiyee, Director, Logistics, Prince Boluwaji Adeyemi, Director, ICT & programs Mr Maurice Chima and the Admin Officer, Taiye Akintola.
