Gov. Akeredolu is a liar, I only get N12M not N13M monthly – Deputy
Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, who is the governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the State forthcoming governorship election has denied the claim by the State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu that he earns N13m every month.
Ajayi instead claimed he only earns N12 million naira against the allegation of N13 million by the Governor.
The deputy governor was reacting to the claim by the governor that he (Ajayi) receives the highest running grant of N13m monthly which is the highest in the country by any deputy governor and yet betrayed him.
In a response through his Media Adviser, Allen Sowore, Deputy said the statement was to his surprise.
I m surprised that the Governor could go to the press announcing the sum of N13m as what the Deputy Governor gets as if it was a gift for the personal use and not for the use of his office”.
“what came to the Deputy Governor’s office until Akeredolu refused to release same was 12million naira per month”.
“This includes the impress of his office, allowances of staff, fuelling of vehicles, care of his residence and welfare of his aides”.
“Huge as the amount may appear, it amounts to not so much when the heads and number of individuals it caters for are considered”.
