Legacy of Excellence: Fasanmi’s Family celebrates Fayemi On 60th Birthday

The family of late former National Leader of Afenifere Ilosiwaju Yoruba and a member of Senate in the Second Republic, Senator Ayo Fasanmi has rejoiced with former governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi on his sixtyth birthday.

In a statement signed by Dr Funmilayo Fasehun Née Fasanmi and sent to Daily Mail on Sunday, the family family described Fayemi’s attainment of the new age as a milestone.

It further describe the ex-minister’s new age as a testament to his enduring legacy and tireless commitment to serving humanity.

“The family is delighted to extend warm wishes to Dr. Kayode Fayemi on his remarkable 60th birthday. This milestone is a testament to your enduring legacy and tireless commitment to serving humanity,” the statement noted.

Dr. Funmilayo Fasehun, the senator’s eldest daughter, recalled the family’s cordial relationship with Dr. Fayemi, which began when he delivered a thought-provoking lecture at their father’s 80th birthday celebration.

She said, “throughout Dr. Fayemi’s administration as Executive Governor of Ekiti, he consistently demonstrated his dedication to the people, maintaining a close relationship with the Fasanmi family and often visiting our late father Senator Ayo Fasanmi during his lifetime at Osogbo and Iye-Ekiti.

“Dr. Fayemi’s visionary leadership has left an indelible mark on Ekiti State. His administration’s efforts to build a modern Ekiti, coupled with honoring past leaders who fought for the state’s creation, including our late father Senator Fasanmi, are a shining example of his commitment to progress and heritage. The modern colleges built in their honour serve as a lasting tribute to their contributions.”

The statement reads further “As you celebrate this significant milestone, we congratulate you on building a legacy that will continue to inspire generations. Your youthful energy, agility, and unwavering passion for service will undoubtedly propel you to even greater heights. We also express our heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable support of your darling wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, who has been an indispensable partner throughout your journey.
