Mind’s Power Global Concept Unveils Ife Youths Start-up Competition
…most skilled and talented youth would be empowered with a million naira – CEO, Awosunle
The Mind’s Power Global Concept on Wednesday unveiled a start-up competition for youths in İle-Ife and its environ.
According to the chief executive Officer of the nonprofit making organisation, Olamide Awosunle, the winner of the competition will coast home with one million naira for business start-up.
Awosunle, a youth empowerment advocate was speaking at a press conference to unveil the start up competition in İle-Ife, Osun State.
He said Nigeria’s global competitiveness and its economic strength will be better upscaled when skilled and potentially endowed youths which constitute about 70 percent of the nation’s population are motivated and empowered.
According to him, the initiative was to motivate and empower entrepreneur aspiring youths.
He noted that a well thought-out empowerment is more than a social initiative but strategic investment in the future of the beneficiaries and the nation at large.
Introducing the Ife Youths Start-Up Competition (IYSC), Awosunle disclosed that “the Ife Youths Start-Up Competition (IYSC), tagged “IF I HAD A MILLION NAIRA,” is my longtime dream and an idea initiated by me. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap young people in lle Ife face in accessing opportunities, inspiration, and support. The goal is simple yet powerful: to empower aspiring entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and a drive to address pressing economie and social challenges at local, national, and global levels.
“This competition will create an invaluable platform for young visionaries to present solutions to issues that matter, such as job creation, local content development, social inclusion, and technological advancement. IYSC is not just a contest it is a call to action for young innovators to step forward and be part of Nigeria’s future.”
On wow to participate, the initiator of the competition said “Starting today, Wednesday, 13th November 2024, registration is open for young entrepreneurs living in Ife land, regardless of state of orign. This application process will be open until Friday, 13th December 2024.
