My Prescribing Authority Is Never In Doubt – Olu of Ileogbo

Osun state Government has been called upon to urgently intervene in the boundary disputes involving Ile Ogbo and Iwo by ensuring the implementation of the various court judgements on the areas in dispute.

The Olu of Ileogbo kingdom,Oba Abeeblah Adetoyese Agbaje Arowookunjoye11 made the call while exchanging views with Journalists in his palace.

The traditional rulers declared that the jurisdiction and authority of Olu of Ileogbo have never been in contention and where counter claims exist have been clarified by the judiciary through certified court judgements from Magistrate to ,High courts, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

The Royal father refered to the judgement of High Court of justice Western Nigeria of February 1961 by justice Fatai Williams,High court justice Iwo Division of 9th of May 2000, and High court of Justice judgement of 26th february 2000,all of which validated the rights and authority of Ile-ogbo on lands within their borders.

According to Oba Arowookunjoye 11, the judgements against Salimonu Snap In a case instituted by Ali Aderibigbe on a leased farmland, that of Fabiyi Dada Osokale on ownership Rights in the 216,683 hectares of land freely donated by Ileogbo community and on the Installation of Baale of Mamu were all in favour of Olu of Ileogbo and his chiefs, while attempts to appeal the judgements up to the Supreme Court failed.

The Traditional Ruler described reports in a section of the media linking him to land grabbing as malicious and designed to tarnish his image, character and Integrity as a Citizen and Royal father who has pursued all claims to land tenure and sales within his jurisdiction In accordance with the law.

The Olu of Ileogbo called on the Osun state police command to enforce the various court judgements on areas of dispute between Ileogbo and Iwo kingdoms without delay to prevent possible breach of the peace in the boundary communities.
