Osun Gov’ship Poll: Adeleke Declared Winner

Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been declared the winner of the July 16 governorship election of Osun State.

The returning officer, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe declared Adeleke the winner after polling 403,371 to defeat the incumbent Governor Gboyega oyetola of APC who polled 375,027

The candidate of Action democratic party kehinde Atanda emerged in third place with total votes of 10,104.

The PDP won 17 out of the 30 local government areas of the state.

Speaking shortly after the announcement, party leader of the PDP in the State said the victory was for the people of Osun State in particular and democracy in general.
