Osun NUJ to set up foundation in honour of late Folakemi Alonge

The presiding officer in charge of christ Apostolic church,Oloke ibikun, pastor Samuel Busoye wants those in position of privilege to use their positions to advance the course of humanity.

Pastor Busoye stated at a commendation and service of song in honour of late Folakemi Alonge in Osogbo.

The clergyman noted that man sojourn on earth was transient hence the need for mankind to sue their life for service of God and humanity.

He called on Nigerians to always remember death in all their dealings,saying everybody will account for the deed in the year after.

In his emotional laden speech,The chairman of Nigeria Union of journalists in Osun state,Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu described the deceased as a committed and dedicated member who contributed significant to advancement of the union in the state.

Comrade Ajadosu noted that late Folakemi Alonge would be missed and the vacuum created by her death would be difficult to be filled.

The chairman noted that a foundation would be established in her memory so as to immortalize the great icon and thorough breed professional.

In a remark,the former secretary to Osun state governor,Mr Fatai Akinabade as courageous woman who was keen to her political belief and ready to canvass social change for the nation’s good and fortune.

Alhaji Akinbade noted that Alonge would be missed for her commitment to truth and justice and equalitarian society.

The children of the deceased described their mother as one in a million and noted that their mother would greatly be missed for her commitment to the plight of the needy.

The late Mrs Folakemi Alonge who worked with Osun state broadcasting corporation and a state officer of NUJ in Osun state was survived by children and grand child.
