Osun Sports Development: Oyetola Oyetola Inaugurates Ultra Modern Table Tennis Edifice
Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has said sports development at all levels will serve as means of eradicating social vices among the youth.
Oyetola who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Wole Oyebamiji said this at Osogbo City Stadium during an official opening of table Tennis hall built by a philanthropist.
He said that the government would continue to welcome partnership of any kind that will transform the state as this gesture is capable of delivering a global sports collaboration now and in the future.
He said the hall would serve as avenue to produce more champions, and will raise standard of sports as well nurture careers of many youths.
Speaking, the State chairman, Table Tennis Association, Ayodeji Alabi, said the initiative was an idea he convinced and has been nurtured since he was in school.
He expressed conviction that the youth especially, students would benefit from the initiative and help them build their. career.
He added that many other facilities will still be provided around the hall to make students find it comfortable when participating in one game and other after school hours.
Also, the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdulrasheed Olabomi called on other philanthropists to partner and support the State government in sports development and other sectors.
Sports administrators and stakeholders at the event commended the Table Tennis Association for making the construction of the Hall a reality.
