Police Arraign Osun APC Scribe, Former Party Chairman; Commissioners, Others In Court
The embattled Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Hon Rasaq Salinsile and former Chairman of the party, Elder Lowo Adebiyi were on Monday arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate Court.
Others arraigned alongside Salinsile and Adebiyi were former Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Special Needs, Com. Biyi Odunlade, former Commissioner for Environment and Sanitation, Hon Idowu Korede, former Commissioner for Works and Transports, Engr. Kazeem Salami, and two others identified as Alaba Popoola and Azeez Adekunle.
The accused were arraigned before Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara by the police on a three count charge bothering on assault, conspiracy, and felony.
All the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
Defence Counsels, Abdulfatai Abdulsalam and Muftau Adediran applied for the bail of the APC chieftains on self recognition which was granted by Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara in like sum of N5 million each.
The Magistrate also admitted Alaba and Adekunle to bail in a sum of N5million with one surety each. The surety must either be a civil servant or house owner residing within the jurisdiction of the magistrate.
He then adjourned the case till September 24 for mention.
