See When Schools Resume in Kwara State

The Kwara State government has directed the reopening of primary and secondary schools from October 5, 2020.
Similarly, State owned tertiary institutions are to reopen from October 12 or as may be determined by their respective governance structures.
The State Governor, AbdulRaman AbdulRasaq said the decision was taken after various trainings were conducted for teachers on how to protect themselves and students from the COVID-19 infection.
He said the state has ensured improved manpower in monitoring and case tracings.
“After we have held various trainings for teachers on how to protect themselves and students from the COVID-19 infection and ensured improved manpower in monitoring and case tracings, we hereby direct the reopening of primary and secondary schools from October 5, 2020”
“Similarly, state-owned tertiary institutions are to reopen from October 12 or as may be determined by their respective governance structures”.
While warning that COVID-19 is still very much around, the Governor urged school authorities to ensure that all safety protocols are adhered to, including physical distance, use of face masks, and constant washing of hands with soap and water, in order to flatten the curve of transmission of the virus.
