Sunday Igboho Makes History, Takes Battle To Fulani Territory In Oyo State
Yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has said that excesses of Fulani herdsmen in Oyo State, particularly in the Ibarapa zone, have been checked.
He asked criminal elements among the herdsmen in other states of the South-West to get ready for onslaughts.
Adeyemo was speaking on Friday while in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State where he took battle to Fulani herdsmen in their territory.
He had led a very large crowd of people to chase Fulani herdsmen perceived to be kidnappers and killers in the area.
The video of the event went viral on social media on Friday, following the security threat that the actions of Fulani herdsmen posed to Ibarapaland.
Sunday Igboho in a video that went viral on social media last had visited the Serikin Fulani, Saliu who was alleged to be aiding criminal in the area.
Sunday Igboho gave Serikin Fulani an eight day ultimatum to vacate Igangan town of Ibarapa or produced alleged kidnappers and killers among them.
As promised on Friday, Sunday Igboho arrived in a convoy in Igangan where kidnappings and killings are rampant.
Resident of the town trooped out in large numbers and joined him to visit the Fulani Territory.
Meanwhile, shortly after Sunday Igboho left Igangan, the house of the Sarkin Fulani of Oyo State, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir, was allegedly set ablaze by aggrieved youths in the town.
The Public Relations Officer of Jamunatirube, Alhaji Mustafa Aliu, confirmed that the incident happened on Friday evening.
