Uniosun Donates Computer Set To NUJ
Osun state university has donated set of computers and other office facilities to Nigeria union of Journalists, Osun state Council.
Presenting the facilities, the Vice Chancellor, Osun state University Osogbo, Professor Labo Popoola said the donation was part of community service of the university which is also one of the cardinal principles of the University.
Professor Labo Popoola expressed hope that the facilities would go a long way to improve the operation of the union for effective service delivery.
He promised that the university would sustain the existing relationship between the university and media professionals in the state with a view to positioning the ivory tower for international accolades.
The Vice Chancellor urged media professionals to focus on developmental issues that would aid the nation’s socio economic development rather than issues of division and disunity.
Receiving the facilities, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Osun State Council, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu, who appreciated the institution, said the gesture would further cement the existing relationship between the university and the union.
Comrade Ajadosu noted that the university had further demonstrated its commitment to standard and professionalism through donations of facilities that would place the union for effective performance.
He expressed the readiness of the union in the promotion of the activities of the University as was as projecting the institution to the international community.
The donated items include Computer systems, Inverter, Printer and Stabilizer.
