Veteran Broadcaster, Adeyemo Confered Honorary Doctorate Award

A renowned media cum Public Relations expert, Chief Ayodele Adeyemo has been endowed with Honorary Award of Doctor of Philosophy in Media and Public Administration, Honaris Causa.

The award endowed by Christ Proclaimers Seminary International, in affiliation with Faith University, United States of America (USA) was witnessed by traditional rulers, highly placed bureaucrats, religious leaders, veteran media and public relations practitioners and many other well wishers.

According to the Provost of the Seminary, Dr Segun Ajani, the awardees were meticulously accessed before being confered the honorary doctorate on merit.

He disclosed that the beneficiaries have now been inducted officially as bona-fide alumni of the Seminary and should, therefore, bear that in mind always.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman, IMOLE TV, Dr Adebayo Abiola, who is also the coordinator of the Award, highlighted the modus operandi of the selection procedure.

He said his organization did due search on the awardees’ profile, especially on their contributions to the sectoral communities of their professions.

The award is to showcase the God-given talents of the honoraries to society in general. It is also to inspire others.

At the ceremony, Chief Ayodele was described as a veteran broadcaster, a public speaker, a socio-political analyst, a counsellor, a seasoned administrator, and a public relations expert.

He has served in both private and public sectors. He has also travelled to India, U.K., and the U.S. either as a consultant or resource person on diverse socio-political issues.

The Provost said the award was made in recognition of Adeyemo’s exceptional meritorious service, having contributed in no small measure to human development.

In his brief remark, Chief Adeyemo thanked God for another divine honour and grace in his life.

He said the doctorate award is a challenge to serve God and humanity more than ever before. He counseled that people should be passionate in all their undertakings.

Prominent personalities that witnessed the occasion included His Royal Majesty, Oba Adebayo Adekemi Olayode 1, Olu of Sekunde, Ife, Chief Bamiji Ojo, an icon in broadcasting, Retired Justice Oladejo Akanbi, Chief Adebayo Ojo, a prominent community leader.

Others are Rev’d Dr Abayomi Odunayo, Revd Gbenga Olorode, children and the awardee’s spouse, Yeye Asiwaju Olufunmilayo Adeyemo and many other well wishers

Other recipients of the honorary doctorate awards include a popular Nollywood actress, Yeye Toyin Adegbola, (a.k.a toyin-tomato), Mrs Josephine Adaramodu, an author and educationist, Mr Oyewale Timothy Olusegun, a public motivational speaker, Hon Mrs Bisi Oyewo-Michael, member Oyo House of Assembly, Prophet Atanda Daniel Olusegun, and Pastor Feyisetan Olaiya Samuel.
