YULETIDE: POLICE ASSURE OSUN RESIDENTS OF ADEQUATE SECURITY BEYOND SEASON
The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Undie Adie says the command has put all necessary security measures in place to ensure peaceful yuletide celebration.
A statement signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officers, SP Yemisi Opalola and made available to Daily Mail says, the Commissioner of Police has directed all heads of Police formations in the state to intensify security coverage of the nooks and crannies of the state.
“While assuring the citizens of Police commitment to guarantee crime free Christmas and New Year festivities, the CP enjoins members of the public to be security conscious and go about their legitimate activities/businesses without fear of insecurity, the statement adds”.
It states further “In the same vein, officers and men have been lectured, sensitized and tasked to comport themselves to be courteous, civil, observe healthy human rights and act in accordance with international best practices.
“Parents and guardians are also advised to caution their wards to eschew any act of criminality and timely report any suspicion by calling the following distress numbers: 08039537995, 08123823981, 08075872433 or report to the nearest police station.
“The Commissioner of Police, Undie Adie wishes everyone a very merry Christmas and prosperous New Year” the statement reads.
