2nd National Para Games: Team Osun Wins 5 Gold, 5 Silver, Multiple Bronze Medals

As the curtains draw on the 2nd National Para Games holding in Abuja today, Osun State Athletes can boast of an excellent performance at the game after winning 5 Gold Medals, 5 Silver Medals and 8 Bronze Medals totalling 18 Medals overall.
Team Osun graced the games with 30 athletes who participated in 5 games namely: Para Power Lifting, Para Swimming, Para Athletics, Para Canoeing and Para Table Tennis.
In Para Power Lifting, Team Osun won 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals, totalling 5 Medals.
Muftau Rasaq was the gold medalist in the Para Power Lifting 65kg category, Anuoluwapo Akoleaje and Anifat Ganiyu won Silver Medals in 86+ kg and 41kg category respectively while Alao Bukola and Opeyemi Adefila coasts home Bronze Medals in their categories.
In Para Athletics team Osun claimed 3 medals as Amaka Anum won Gold in shot put F40 category, Victor Saviour won Silver Medal in shot put F47 category and Bassey Better claimed Bronze in athletics 100M T37 category.
In the Para Swimming events, Friday Urounah was the star of the show for team Osun as he coasts home 2 Gold Medals in 50 and 100M freestyle S10 male category while Olasunkanmi Mariam won 1 silver and 2 Bronze Medals totalling 5 Medals in Para Swimming.
In Para Canoeing, Sunday Akpodufaye won 1 gold and 1 silver while Alaba Metelewawon won Bronze medal to make it 3 medals for team Osun in Para Canoeing.
In Para Table Tennis, Osun athletes won 2 Bronze Medals. Sofiyat Yusuf and Taiwo Mujeeb were the Bronze medalists.
