The Federal Government has expressed its readiness to ensure the completion of a good number of federal projects in Osun state.
Minister of Power, works and housing, Babatunde Fashola dropped the hint in Osogbo when he paid a working visit to the Osun state governor.
He also said, the federal government will raise bonds to assist the state to relief its debt burden.
The minister began his working visit to Osun state on inspection note from Ifetedo where he was received by the state delegation led by the permanent secretary of the ministry of work, Nurudeen Adeagbo.
His next port of call was the Bisi Akande interchange on the Ibadan-ife express way, one of the federal road interventions by the Aregbesola’s administration.
The road linking the interchange with the state capital is the Gbongan-Akoda dual carriage being constructed by the state government.
There are several other federal government projects in the state begging for serious attention.
While some already awarded projects have been abandoned, some are yet to be considered.
After being properly briefed by the federal controllers of works as well as housing in Osun state, the minister who was received by governor Aregbesola in his office gave assurance of the federal government readiness to assist the state.
Like Oliver Twist, the governor asked for more.
One other thing that is appreciated by the state government is the assurance of federal government for the reimbursement of the federal road projects being undertaking by the state.
