It also stated that, the CP assured the citizenry of the command’s readiness to tackle all forms of criminal activities to a standstill.

The statement reads: “the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, CP Olawale Olokode, psc in his unrelenting efforts and collaboration from other security outfits to rid the state of criminal activities has since the incident of the kidnap was reported on 26th March, 2021, mounted aggressive pressures on the kidnappers which eventually led to the release of the victim at about 10:00pm of 28th March, 2021 without any ransom paid. The rescued victim is presently receiving treatment in the hospital.

“The Command equally wishes to use this medium to debunk the rumours making round that, three persons were kidnapped in the attack. The Commissioner of Police wishes to set the record straight that, it was only one person that was kidnapped against the bad drop that, three persons were kidnapped.
