Apex Court Verdict: Adeleke dedicates Victory to God, People of Osun
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has dedicated his victory at the supreme Court to God and the people of the State.
Adeleke was reacting at his country home, Ede in Osun State shortly after the apex court delivered the judgement which reaffirmed him as the validly elected governor of the State.
He thanked the people of the State for standing by him before and during the period of the litigation from tribunal to Appeal court and finally to the Apex Court.
Adeleke assured the people of the State that it is now time to be focused on governance, saying though his government has done so much since assumption of office in spite of the distraction.
Now that litigations are over, the governor promised to rededicate himself to the service of the State and to the people.
“I dedicate this victory to God Almighty and my people of Osun. Because they stood by me and did everything to let me know that they love me and I love them back. And today has proven it.
“It is now time to be focused even though there was little distraction, we were focused. You journalists can testify to our 100 days in office, you have seen it all. You went with me, you work with me, you saw what we have done. Work is still going despite the little distraction.
“Now there is no distraction again we have our five point agenda just wait and see, our government is grassroot. You aren’t seen nothing yet. We have enough goodies for Osun people.
“My message to everyone is let’s come together, work together and make Osun great.” Adeleke said.
