DSS Operative’s Death: LAUTECH Teaching Hospital sets up investigation panel
The LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo has set up investigation panel to look at all the care given a DSS operative who was shot dead by an officer of the NSCDC.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the institution says the investigation panel will audit the death of the officer with a postmortem to look at all the care given from reception till his death.
The statement says the institution commiserates with the family and colleagues of the deceased and pray that God grants them the fortitude to bear this loss.
According to the statement notes that the hospital made frantic efforts to save the life of this officer when he was presented to our hospital.
“The attention of the Management of Lautech Teaching Hospital Osogbo has been called to the trending news report about the unfortunate incident that involved gun shot between operatives of two security outfits DSS and NCSD in which one of them eventually died at the hospital”.
“The patient was operated twice in order to ameliorate the complications from the injury sustained. Unfortunately, he could not survive”.
“Efforts are being made to audit the death of this officer with a postmortem and a panel to look at all the care given from reception till he died”.
While assuring the general public that the matter will be given utmost scrutiny, we once again commisserate with the DSS and the entire family of the deceased.
