Ede Day 2024: Media Guru, Ayodele Adeyemo, Others To Be Hounored

A renowned media and public relations expert, Ayodele Adeyemo is one of the prominent Elders to be honoured with the Award Of Excellence at this year’s edition of celebrations of Ede Day. This was disclosed by the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the popular annual gathering of Ede sons and daughters, Alhaji Lukman Afolabi Soose while addressing the Media to intimate them with the highlights of the weeklong series of activities lined up for Ede Day 2924.

In a congratulatory letter conveying the Award, Chief Dr Ayodele Adeyemo, a well known community apologist was said to have been considered for the Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development and well-being of Edeland. According to the organizers, Chief Adeyemo’s “selfless dedication, leadership and commitment to community service have not gone unnoticed.” It is highlighted that Dr Ayodele Adeyemo’s “tireless efforts have positively impacted numerous lives”. It is therefore hoped that his unqualified “legacy will continue to inspire future generations.”

In his measured response, Chief Adeyemo said he is deeply humbled by the Award which he takes as a peak recognition because it comes from the community of his birth. He assured the Timi of Edeland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Dr Munirudeen Adesola LAWAL, Laminisa 1, Ede Descendants Union Worldwide and the entire citizens of Ede that the Award is a fresh assignment to do more for EDE with all his wherewithal.

The Ede Day Celebrations is a prestigious event designed to celebrate Edeland’s rich cultural heritage and mobilise funds for the town’s developmental projects.

Other notable personalities to be honoured include the President, Ede Elders Council, Alhaji Sulaimon Adebayo, Alhaji Moshood Adeniyi, Secretary of Ede Elders Council, Dr Ganiyu Adebowale Adediji a renowned agriculture expert, Otunba Majeed Adekunle Aremu Rajesh, a prominent broadcaster based in Benin Republic and some others.
