Gov. Adeleke Approves Dissolution of CDC Excos At All Levels of Govt
OSun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved the dissolution of Community Development Council Excos at the state, zonal and local government levels with immediate effect.
Announcing the dissolution on behalf of the Governor, during an interactive meeting held with all Directors of Social Development and Information in all the local governments and LCDAs in the state, the Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Ola Oluwa said the dissolution is necessary to give room for smooth and peaceful coordination of the activities of CDC in the state.
He also maintained that the step is to enhance CDCs contributions towards the attainment of the bottom-up principle of development through their self-help spirit to align with the 5 – 5-point development Agenda of the state government.
The Commissioner further explained that in a bid to ensure that there is no vacuum in the activities of OSun State CDC, the directors of Social Development at various local governments have been directed to liaise with the office of the State Director of Community Development in the Ministry of Rural Development on the modalities for the conduct of fresh elections to fill the vacant positions, while all prospective contestants vying for any elective office at all levels are also enjoined to approach the Ministry for further information.
He, therefore used the medium to appreciate the dissolved executives for their selfless contributions to the various achievements of CDC, wishing them well in their future endeavours.
Responding, the Director, of Social Development and Information, Ede North, Mr Zadrach Ologbenla, thanked the present Governor Ademola Adeleke led administration in the state for being workers friendly, promising to continue their unalloyed support for his government.
