Hijab: Christians, Muslims fight with dangerous items as Kwara Govt reopens affected schools
Violent clash erupted on Wednesday morning in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital as Christians and Muslim threw dangerous objects to one another over the use of Hijab by female Muslim students.
This was not unconnected to the reopening of the embattled 10 schools shut last month as the Kwara state government on controversy surrounding the use of Hijab in those schools.
Daily Mail learnt that violence erupted after Christian officials of Baptist School, Surulere disallowed the girls in Hijab from gaining access into the school.
This did not go down well with Muslim parents, leading to arguments and eventual clash.
The situation grew worse as angry Christian and Muslim faithful threw various objects including stones and plastic chairs at themselves.
