Osun NUJ Organises free medical checkup, Holds Public Lecture Tuesday
Nigeria union of journalists,Osun State Council will on Tuesday hold a health talk as part of activities marking its 2022 NUJ Press Week.
The Chief Medical Director of Osogbo Central Hospital, OCH, Doctor Akindele Ajayi will be addressing members of the Union and members of the public on the need to give priority to their health while free medical checkup follows immediately.
The health talk will hold at NUJ press centre by 9 o’clock in the morning
The Union will also hold Public Lecture tomorrow.
A Statement by the Chairman of the Public Lecture Committee, Comrade Oluwamayowa Fagbohungbe indicated that the lecture with the theme “Legislative Oversight Functions And The Entrenchment Of Democracy In Nigeria” would be delivered by the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, Senator Babajide Omoworare CON while the Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Tunde Lekan Olatunji and another member of the State Parliament, Hon. Benjamen Ogundipe would be the Discussants at the event.
According to the statement, the Akire of Ikire-Ile Oba Azeez Olatunbosun Bamiji would be the Royal Father of the Day.
Journalists as well as members of the public are cordially invited to the event which commences at 11 O’Clock in the morning at NUJ Press centre Iwo/Ibadan Road,Osogbo.
