The Oyo State House of Assembly has urged the officers of the Nigeria Police of the State Command to return to their various duty posts.

Speaker Adebo Ogundoyin underscores the need to restore peace and sanity, as hoodlums have refused to stop terrorizing some areas in the State especially flashpoints in Ibadan since #EndSARS protest.

Ogundoyin said “It’s unwholesome how a youth-led peaceful protest with good desire for systemic change was hijacked by hoodlums, which almost ruin the entire purpose of the protest. We need swift actions towards restoring peace in areas like Idikan, Agbede, Adodo, Iseyin and other flashpoints”.

He thanked to officers of the Operation Burst for their quick intervention and urged them to put more effort in combating crime in the neighborhood.

The Speaker also tasked them on ending vandalization of public and private properties, violence by some hoodlums hiding under the guise of protest.
