Protest In Osogbo As Police Officer Allegedly Shot Commercial Motorcycle Passenger
Pandemonium ensued in Osogbo, Osun State on Tuesday, when a police officer allegedly shot shot a middle aged man, identified as Saheed Olabomi.
According to eyewitnesses, the policeman allegedly shot the commercial motorcycle passenger around Oke Onitea Osogbo for trying to overtake their vehicle.
Meanwhile, commercial motorcyclists took to the street protesting against the shooting by the police.
They blocked the Lameco/Stadium Axis of the Ring road, making road users playing alternative route..
The victim who was earlier reported dead was confirmed to be alive and still receiving medical treatment at the Osun State university teaching hospital, Osogbo as at press time.
