Traditional Rulers are true Custodians of Culture, Tradition – Oyetola

Osun State Governor, Ggboyega Oyetola says traditional rulers in the state are teue custodians of culture and tradition.
Oyetola stated this during the presentation of Staff of Office and the Instrument of Appointment to the new Alayegun of Ode-omu, Oba James Bolarinwa.
The Governor,who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon.Rasaki Adeosun, noted that traditional rulers are a veritable link between the Government and the people, hence the need to hold them in high esteem.
“The role of traditional rulers in any community cannot be over emphasized and those roles are well recognized, they serve as symbols of peace and stability among the people.
“Their supports have strengthened our government to achieve most of our electoral promises and we promised not to betray their trust in us”.
While noting that his administration has taken giant strides to improve on the infrastructural deficits in the State, Governor Oyetola said, the current government will embark on more projects across the state in fulfillment of his electioneering promises.
He admonished the new monarch to work harmoniously with other royal fathers in a bid to maintain and sustain the existing peace to guarantee all round developments in the state.
Earlier, the Chairman, Ayedade Local Government, Hon. Lateef Adeyeye, appreciated the Governor for his various projects being executed across the state.
He appeal to the people of the town to rally round the newly crowned monarch and support him and allow peace to continue to reign.
