Workers Day 2022: UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Salutes Staff
As the world celebrate workers around the world on MAY DAY, the Chief Medical Director of Uniosun Teaching Hospital Osogbo, Professor Peter Babatunde OLAITAN has commended the new spirit of team work and commitment of the staff of the hospital.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Ayodele Adeyemo Prof. Olaitan said, the new profile of the hospital’s workforce has resulted in accreditation of departments, effective training of students and resident doctors as well as effective service delivery.
Equally commendable is the improvement in number of high level manpower due to recent admittance into different fellowships of specialisation of resident trainees. This will definitely continue to impact positively on service delivery.
Prof. Olaitan commends the responsible and mature unionism in the hospital. He assures the workers’ unions of the preparedness of the Management to support higher and improved trainings in relevant areas for both individuals and groups.
He urged the workers to continue to remain a dependable fulcrum in the wheel of progress saying: “it will be desirable for different unions to use the occasion of Workers Day to do a within oversight and bring up new ideas and suggestions that can be turned into policies by the Management for the hospital’s progress”.
The Chief Medical Director also sends words of appreciation to the State government for giving adequate attention to Uniosun Teaching Hospital Osogbo and the health care sector generally inspite of the current economic situations in the country. He hoped that the present level of industrial harmony and understanding will be suistained as a recognition for goverment’s efforts and attention.
In the usual workers parlance, Olaitan says “aluta continua, success is assured.”
