Youths Inclusion will entrench good governance – PDP House of Assembly Aspirant, Adewumi

An aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State Olusegun Adewumi has canvassed for youths inclusion at all levels of governance in the Nigeria.

He spoke on Thursday at the party’s State Secretariat in Osogbo, shortly after picking intent and nomination form of the party to represent Oriade State Constiruency at the Osun State House of Assembly.

Adewumi was of the view that the nation is in dare need of energy and mental capacity of the youth for the actualisation of desired change Nigerians are yearning for.

He said “Nigerian youths have the strength and skills to drive all sectors of the economy to bring about sustainable development needed in the country.

“Our political leaders must give the youth chance to showcase their talent and inject their skills in governance not only at the grassroots but also at the national level.

“That’s how the development, the growth, the transformation everybody is yearning for can be actualised. Nigerians deserve good governance, better leadership and the time is now.”

On the state of the nation, Adewumi who lamented insecurity threaning the nation’s existence, tasked the All Progressives Congress, APC led federal government to redouble its efforts in the fight against terrorism and insurgency.

He believed that the PDP has the capacity and experience to do more than what is being done by the present administration in terms of ending all forms of insecurity bedeviling Nigeria.

He said Nigerians must wake up and do justice in the coming elections by electing credible leaders who would raise the bar of governance by providing leadership that would guarantee their welfare and security of lives and property.

On the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Adewumi canvassed for the support of the people for Senator Ademola Adeleke, the gubanitorial candidate of the party, saying he has all what is required to paddle the affairs of the State.
