Al-hisan Islamic Weafare Foundation donate relief materials to NEMA for IDPs
The National Emergency Management Agency will welcome any assistance from spirited Nigerians for those who are vulnerable in any form of disaster in the country.
Southwest coordinator of NEMA, Saheed Akinhode spoke in Osogbo, the Oaun state capital where the agency received relief materials for the vulrables.
The materials were donated by an Islamic organization, Alhisan Welfare Foundation for the people in the Internally Displaced Persons, IDP Camp affected by insurgency in the northeast Nigeria.
The relief materials include 103 bags at 223 kilogram of cloths and 13 bags of shoes at 50 kilogram.
Receiving the consignment, Akinhode wants other non governmental organization, development partners and donor agencies to emulate Al-ISAN foundation in giving succour to the needy especially, the internally displaced persons.
The Amir, Alhisan Foundation, Olayiwola Miftau says, what the foundation is doing is part of its social responsibilities backed by the tenet of Islam.
