OSHA calls IBEDC a scam
The Osun State House of Assembly has described the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company as scam just as it is branded a moribund organization by some consumers.
This was a fall out of unsatisfactory reponse by the management of IBEDC on permanent power outage in some communities in Osun state.
The House had summoned the management of the IBEDC in Osun state following a motion of matter of urgency raised by members representing Osogbo, Olorunda and Egbedore state constituencies.
Twenty Eight communities under the Oluode feeder have been in total blackout in about two months without any hopes of having their electricity restored by the IBEDC.
Appearing on the floor of the House on Monday, the management of the IBEDC claimed to be working on how to restore electricity to the affected areas but for the huge amount of funds involved.
They disclosed that the board of directors of the company has approved funds for the reconducturing of the affected feeder.
